Don’t forget your camping checklist
As well as the essentials such as your camping tents and sleeping bags, here are a few other pieces you need to make sure you pack before you head off into the great outdoors.
Pillows/Quilts/Blankets – For those super cold nights
Torch/Lantern – Let there be light otherwise you will be sat in the dark
Fold up chairs – For those tent nights in
Wellington Boots – An essential for everyone
Waterproof clothing – Because it does exactly what it says on the tin
Gas for the stove – Unless you want cold beans out of the tin
Cutlery and crockery sets – Else you will have to eat your way through the tin to get to the beans.
Matches and batteries – Always good for emergencies.
Toilet roll – Most campsites supply it but do you really want to take the risk?
Insect repellent – Keep pests at bay.
First Aid Kit – Plenty of plasters, antihistamine, bandages etc
Bottled water – Always good to keep stocked up.
Games – For those rainy days bring cards and board games.
Cash – There may be no ATM’s in the middle of the forest so carry cash just in case.
Towels – As many as you can
Sun tan lotion – You may be expecting wet weather but there can be some summer sun s ometimes!
Map or GPS – So you don’t get lost.
