Don’t forget your camping checklist

As well as the essentials such as your camping tents and sleeping bags, here are a few other pieces you need to make sure you pack before you head off into the great outdoors.

Pillows/Quilts/Blankets – For those super cold nights

Torch/Lantern – Let there be light otherwise you will be sat in the dark

Fold up chairs – For those tent nights in

Wellington Boots – An essential for everyone

Waterproof clothing – Because it does exactly what it says on the tin

Gas for the stove – Unless you want cold beans out of the tin

Cutlery and crockery sets – Else you will have to eat your way through the tin to get to the beans.

Matches and batteries – Always good for emergencies.

Toilet roll – Most campsites supply it but do you really want to take the risk?

Insect repellent – Keep pests at bay.

First Aid Kit – Plenty of plasters, antihistamine, bandages etc

Bottled water – Always good to keep stocked up.

Games – For those rainy days bring cards and board games.

Cash – There may be no ATM’s in the middle of the forest so carry cash just in case.

Towels – As many as you can

Sun tan lotion – You may be expecting wet weather but there can be some summer sun sometimes!

Map or GPS – So you don’t get lost.
